Events at the Mayerlehenhut

"The Gruberalm", upper Alm hut, worked as a farm over 100 years, celebrate the Al,-summer 2010

Friday, 10th September.2010 A culinary feast from the farm's kitchen, 11:00 a.m.
with Pofesen, farmhouse doughtnuts, apple rings etc. before the homeward procession of the cattle.

Saturday, 11th September.2010 From the moutain pasture to the valley with the cattle from the Mayerlehen hut-Gruberalm*, 10:00 a.m.
Take part with the preparation, decorating the cattle, music with dancing etc. Should the weather be bad, the procession will be postponed until Saturday, 12th September.

Sunday, 10th October. 2010 The arrival of the Kasermandl*, 11:00 a.m.
Final get-together on the alm

July, August & September:every Monday from 3:00-6:00 p.m.
Life on the mountain pasture - learn all about life and work, culture, animals, plants etc. on the mountain side. Price: € 6,50 per Person, families € 15,-.

Breakfast on the mountain - something rather special

Celebrations on the mountain

Overnight on the alm
Sleep in the hay, on a matress in a tent, in the woodchoppers hut or in the cow girls suite, every night is something special.

* These dates are dependent upon the vegetation on the alm, the weather and farmer's life and may be changed at short notice.
