At the gateway to the Salzkammergut lake district in Hof by Salzburg, you will be amazed to find a 500 year old cultural building: The National Trust Smoke house Mühlgrub” is a well restored old farmhouse. Here one can have a guided tour and cosy evenings with culinary specialities are also offered.
Every resort has something quite unique to offer in harvest time.
In Hintersee there is a big procession when the cattle return from the mountain pasture to the valley with their colourful head dresses and the day ends with dancing and music. In Fuschl am See one can witness bread baking in the Ruming mill and watch the water mill from 1872 in action And do you know how what “Fuaßhakln” is? You will see it at the festival in Faistenau!
