The mountain pastures of the Osterhorn Gruppe
Hiking without luggage in Salzkammergut
The Lake Fuschl Region is a hiker’s paradise with its mountain pastures.
150 kilometres of marked hiking trails wind their way through the mountain pastures above the villages of Faistenau and Hintersee. The trails of varying levels of difficulty will leave a lasting and spellbinding impression on hikers looking for unspoilt nature and beautiful scenery.
Mountain pastures of the Osterhorn Gruppe
One of the most popular resting places for walkers is the Latschen Alm on the Spielberg mountain pasture which lies 1,407 metres above sea level and is the starting point for 5 different hiking trails.
Or how about the Mayerlehen Hut on the Gruberalm which belongs to the Matieschek family and has its own unforgettable atmosphere. Here its still possible to sleep in the hay, camp under the stars, cook sausages over a camp fire and care for the animals
