Mayerlehenhütte - Gruberalm

After a hike of about 45 minutes fromthe Lämmerbach car park you finally reach the extremely comfortable Mayrlehen hut on the Gruberalm.

A walk that is well rewarded, for the alpine hut of Lisi and Werner Matieschek is a true example of an original lodge with unique atmosphere. Whilst some enjoy the milk, cider, elderberry juice as well as biological bread, smoked bacon, cheese, spreads, cheese dumplings or the delicious freshly made farmhouse doughnuts, others try their hand at milking or watching the chamois deer.

A children's paradise where they can play in the sandpit, walk on stilts and play with animals. Here it is also possible to sleep in the hay, to tent and grill over a camp-fire and by pre-booking take part on a nature walk and the projet of "school on the alpine pasture". Please ring in advance for cheese noodles, meat pasties, chopped pancake etc. for groups. Possibility to stay overnight.
