Zwölferhorn in St. Gilgen

One of the loveliest mountain views in the Salzkammergut.

Summer and winter alike, the Zwölferhorn mountain in St. Gilgen on the Wolfgangsee is an excursion tip for young and old, locals and guests. With the cable car, in just 16 minutes, you reach the mountain station at 1476m. from where you have magnificent views over 7 lakes and as far as the Dachstein glacier peak.
The mountain station is also the starting point for many wlaks. Particularly predominant are the many seats on the Panorama Round Route from the Zwölferhorn to the Pillstein and the newly erected Illingeralm Route. For the Panorama Route you will need about 1,5 hours and approx. 4 hrs for the Illingeralm Route. The fantastic views en route in wonderful natural landscape are regeneration for body, soul and spirit.
