The Zoo in Salzburg

The zoo grounds cover 14 hectares and house around 500 animals (140 different species) in natural expansive surroundings.

In just a short visit one can discover the animal world of Europe, Asia, Africa and South America.

Night zoo: in the summer months the zoo is open until 11 p.m. when you can watch the animals in the night.

Wheelchair visitors are also welcome to visit our zoo.
The paths are all with shingle and only the rise to the Africa section do you need little help, otherwise all other areas are easily accessible. A disabled
W.C. is opposite the restaurant and if help is necessary we are pleased to be of assistance.

Should the journey through the animal world be too strenuous for small children, next to the souvenir shop there are little carts for children.

Dogs are welcome in the zoo but please keep them on the lead. Not only is a visit to the zoo an interesting experience for your dog but also for our animals too!
